Use the product label as the authority. This calculator only multiplies the rate you enter. It does not decide which fertilizer to use, whether your soil needs it, or whether the label permits the number of applications entered.
Application amount is rate × area—or rate × plant count.
For an area-based label, multiply the stated grams per square metre by the number of square metres being treated. For a per-plant label, multiply grams per plant by the number of plants. Multiply that result by the number of planned applications to estimate the total product quantity.
If a saved Garden Area exists in My Garden, the calculator can reuse its area automatically so the same bed size is not entered again.
The calculator does not choose a fertilizer or override the label.
Different products contain different nutrient concentrations, release patterns and maximum application rates. A soil test, crop condition or local horticultural guidance may indicate that less—or no fertilizer—is appropriate. Use the tool only after deciding which product and label rate actually apply to the job.
The seasonal total is a purchasing calculation. It does not mean the product label permits that many applications at the same rate.
