Local garden data
My Garden stores the garden profile, Garden Areas, tracked plants, cultivars, establishment dates, perennial-care history, harvest records, seed inventory and germination tests, task-completion history, saved calculator plans, journal entries and connected project data in local browser storage on your device. This allows the workspace to remember your garden without requiring an account.
The Harvest & Yield Tracker keeps plant names, optional cultivars, dates, weights, item counts, optional notes and optional estimated values locally. Perennial Care History stores the care action, date, optional note and any next-check date you choose. These personal records are not published as public pages and are not intended to be sent to search engines.
Garden Timeline and local analysis
The Garden Timeline is reconstructed in your browser from the dated records already stored by My Garden, including plant establishment dates, harvests, journal notes, perennial-care actions and recent completed garden signals. Building or filtering the timeline does not require uploading those garden records to Tiny Mustard Seed.
The Timeline is marked noindex and is excluded from the public sitemap. Its CSV export is generated in the browser from the records matching your current filters.
Backups and device changes
Clearing browser site data, using another browser or moving to another device can remove or separate locally stored garden information. Use the My Garden backup feature if you want to keep a portable copy of supported local data.
A backup file is created in your browser for you to save. Restoring a supported backup replaces the matching local sections after confirmation. Separate CSV exports, such as harvest or perennial-care history, are also generated in the browser.
Location and weather lookup
When you choose to scan a town or postcode, the text you enter is sent to the configured location and weather services so local coordinates, forecast conditions or historical frost information can be requested. Those requests are different from the local-only storage used for your personal garden records.
Do not enter a precise private address when a town or postcode is sufficient. The planning tools are designed to work with general garden-area location information.
Contact form enquiries
The Contact page asks for your name, your email address, an optional phone number, a subject and your message so the Tiny Mustard Seed team can receive and respond to your enquiry. The website does not publish an owner or support email address.
Contact submissions are sent through a server-side relay to the private Site Command inbox used to manage website enquiries. The form includes validation, rate limiting and a hidden anti-spam field. Do not include passwords, payment details or other sensitive information in a contact message.
Google Analytics 4
Tiny Mustard Seed uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic, page use and technical performance. The Google tag is loaded in Google Consent Mode so Google can recognise the measurement configuration without requiring a visitor to click the consent prompt first.
Analytics storage is denied by default for visitors who have not accepted analytics. If you choose Accept analytics, the site updates the consent signal to allow analytics storage. If you choose Essential only, analytics storage remains denied. You can reopen Analytics settings later and change your choice. When analytics permission is withdrawn, the site also attempts to remove accessible Google Analytics cookies such as _ga cookies.
Tiny Mustard Seed does not intentionally send your local garden records, journal entries, harvest notes, saved plans or other browser-local garden workspace content to Google Analytics.
Advertising consent
Advertising consent is kept separate from the Tiny Mustard Seed analytics choice. Google advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalisation signals remain denied in the site's own Analytics consent control. If Google AdSense or another advertising service is enabled, advertising consent will be handled through the applicable Google-certified consent mechanism where required.
Personal garden records stored only in local browser storage are not intended to be sold to advertisers.
Future accounts and communication features
The current garden workspace does not require a Tiny Mustard Seed account. If account synchronisation, outbound email communication or cloud storage is added later, the interface and this policy should explain what information leaves the device, why it is needed and what controls are available before a user opts in.
Policy updates
This policy will evolve as the product adds or changes services. Material changes should be reflected here in clear wording rather than hidden inside unrelated terms. The production site should be reviewed again before major advertising or account changes are switched on.
